About Chris
Chris is a native of Conway and decided to return to the Grand Strand after law school to assist his community in legal matters. As a third-generation lawyer, Chris grew up with a passion for the law and for helping others. In his practice, Chris prides himself on the attention to detail he provides to his clients’ cases and the needs of his co-counsel, and on the personalized service he brings to every matter. One hundred percent of Chris’s practice is devoted to representing injured clients; he has never represented an insurance company and never will. Chris has recovered tens of millions of dollars for his clients and has tried numerous cases to a successful verdict. In addition, Chris is responsible for one of the largest “trip-and-fall” settlements in the history of the Grand Strand.
After graduating from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Chris received his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Chris’s desire to be a trial lawyer and litigator developed in law school, after he won both a CALI award (the highest grade in the class) in Trial Advocacy and an award for best oral argument in Legal Research and Writing. After law school, Chris served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable William H. Seals, Jr. of the South Carolina Circuit Court. Before founding Kinon Law Firm, Chris practiced at a Myrtle Beach personal injury law firm, where he gained valuable litigation, negotiation, and trial experience. Chris is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in South Carolina.
Currently, Chris lives in Myrtle Beach with his wife and son, and dog, Hank. When not helping his clients, Chris enjoys boating, hunting, shooting, fishing, weightlifting, and Gamecock sports. Chris is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, Waccamaw Sertoma Club, and the South Carolina Association for Justice.
Chris is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum®, one of the most prestigious groups of trial attorneys in the United States. Membership is an honor given only to a lawyer who has achieved a final judgement, award or settlement for his or her client in the amount of two million dollars or more in a single case. Fewer than 1% of U.S. attorneys are members. Chris is also a member of the American Association for Justice and the Southern Trial Lawyers Association.
“Following a bad auto accident, my initial legal consultation and engagement was with a highly advertised law firm. This was the first time needing a Pl Attorney and my decision making was influenced by advertising. With my selection I quickly found out that I was a numbered transaction to the firm. They were not looking for my best possible outcome, they were looking for volume transactions.
To correct my situation, I went to an attorney I know and asked for a recommendation. He referred me to a very solid local firm and that is how I met Chris Kinon.
Chris Kinon is authentic, shoots straight, sets realistic expectations, and cares about his clients. His execution throughout the process was flawless, and the results he delivered far exceeded my expectations. He moved mountains to make things happen and never took no for an answer.
I not only whole-heartedly recommend Chris and his firm Kinon Law Firm, I have referred someone to him. My referral was in a situation similar to mine and she was only getting sparse responses from her representation. She took my recommendation, visited Chris, and explained what had happened to her. She was impressed and immediately signed on for representation with Chris. The good news for her, Chris got results within sixty days.
Life sometimes presents you with challenges. If you find yourself with one of life’s challenges and need representation, I highly recommend you talk to Chris and consider working with Kinon Law Firm. You will never have to wonder and you will get the best possible outcome for your case.”
